A bilateral graph shows two opposite sets of data. In
certain instances it is important to show both sides of a certain equation. It
is often necessary to graph above and below the zero line. This graph shows the
US trade with Europe. When we are exporting a lot more than we are importing
our debt and account balance stays pretty constant.
